Questions about the Family & Children’s Agency, Connecticut Helps Office of Family Support and United Way of CT are common. Caring Partners
The Connecticut Helps-Office of Family Support works in collaboration with several agencies throughout the state in an effort to sustain individuals and families affected by the terrorist attacks. There are however two agencies who’re recipients of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grants that play a major role in this effort.
The Family & Children’s Agency, Inc. (FCA) provides families and survivors in Fairfield County with crisis counseling, case management and referral services. FCA reaches out to families and is organizing support and educational activities for children and adults. The United Way of Connecticut/Infoline 2-1-1 serves families affected by the tragedy throughout the state with case management services and referrals. Additionally, United Way/Infoline maintains a comprehensive database of information about funds, benefits, scholarships, and etc. relevant to victims’ families.
